Since 1995, the Baby Guard Pool Fence Company has grown into one of the world’s largest suppliers of mesh safety fences for pools. The company estimates that its products have helped save upwards of 500,000 lives over the years. Today, Baby Guard pool fences are known not just for their safety, but also for a focus on style and aesthetic that makes them different from any other brand.
Baby Guard’s Geographic Reach
The Baby Guard Inc. factory is based in Coral Springs, Florida, but Baby Guard safety barriers can be found far beyond the state lines of Florida. Baby Guard has representatives in 30 states, including California and most of the East Coast and the Midwest. Baby Guard mesh fences are also popular throughout southern states such as Georgia, Mississippi, and Texas.
While Baby Guard does most of its business in the United States, the company has also moved into several foreign markets. These countries include Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic.
The Perks of Baby Guard Pool Fences
Like other manufacturers of mesh pool fencing—such as Guardian and Life Saver—Baby Guard is dedicated to meeting the safety standards in as many locations as possible. Typically, Baby Guard pool fences come with self-closing and lockable gates, which are also standard on Guardian and Life Saver fencing systems.
What sets Baby Guard pool fencing systems apart from other companies is their versatility and customizability. Baby Guard systems come in four-foot or five-foot heights can be customized to suit swimming pools of all shapes and sizes and can be installed on virtually any type of surface. From wooden decks to tile or brick pool areas to dirt ground, any surface can accommodate a Baby Guard fence.
Baby Guard mesh pool fencing also comes in several styles and colors, to make customization easier. Most mesh pool fence companies offer maybe one or two styles or colors. Baby Guard provides three different mesh styles and half a dozen different color options. Customers trying to achieve a specific aesthetic for their swimming pool or patio areas will appreciate the option to tweak the look of the fencing.
Baby Guard Shortcomings
While Baby Guard safety barriers are widely available, versatile enough for multiple settings, and easily customizable, they do have a few drawbacks.
The first is warranty. Guardian and Life Saver both offer lifetime warranties on their products. The Baby Guard Pool Fence Company only provides a limited manufacturer’s warranty, which means there is a bit more “risk” when you choose Baby Guard. Baby Guard pool fences are still supposed to be durable. The company says they are “100% rust-proof.” Still, the absence of warranty coverage may make the investment less attractive to some buyers.
Baby Guard pool fences also just aren’t as strong or as durable as fences from some other manufacturers. Some customers have reported that the stitching on these fences starts to unravel after a few years, among other problems.
