I’ll start off by saying I never imagined that someday I would be operating a website dedicated to pool fencing. However, I am one to let the lord guide me along my path and never question his judgement. Thankfully, I held true to my values once again and embarked on this amazing journey which has turned out to be fulfilling in many ways. As an engineer in the computer and technology field, I enjoy dabbling in new tech in an effort to continue expanding my knowledge of this amazing thing called the Internet. Creating a website, a rather large and now successful one, has taught me a lot about people. How they interact and consume new information they find on the web and ultimately what questions they are looking to have answered about a particular topic. As a father, I want to be protective of my children but at the same time give them space to grow up as individuals who have learned by experience, not by unjustified rules and being told how things must be. When a close friend recently had the unthinkable happen to her child, a near drowning, I was struck with the fear of something like this happening to my own children. Thankfully, her daughter was okay after this tragic accident. But it did leave an everlasting scar on my friend’s emotional state. My feelings of sadness are triggered every time I think of that memory of my friend and her daughter. It’s a constant reminder that children are vulnerable and that we must be protective and always on the lookout for their safety.

When my family moved to a new home last summer, we inherited the swimming pool that came along with the purchase. My first thought was to fill that large hole with dirt; I didn’t want my children anywhere near that thing. That certainly wouldn’t have been fair to the kiddos, being they were overjoyed about getting a house with a pool. As a result, I began to gather, collect, and organize everything I could find online, by asking friends, and calling companies to get the skinny on all things having to do with pool safety.
My research led me to this point, a forgone conclusion that a pool fence is the safest, most practical solution for protecting loved ones from the unforeseen hazards of a swimming pool. With my own pool fence now surrounding our backyard pool, my kids are free to play out back without me worrying about them getting into the pool area. Everyone is happy. To that end, this website is a culmination of all my research that has taken place over the past year. I have found great reward and personal satisfaction in being able to share this information with fellow parents in an effort to help them make a sound decision for the safety of their child.
